Generally speaking, epoxy resin is a highly viscous material but a epoxy resin diluent is a material that lower the viscosity for the purpose of providing better workability while maintaining the performance and properties of the resin.
The epoxy resin diluents manufactured by Yokkaichi Chemical Company include the single-function type "butyl glycidyl ether," "high-grade alcohol (C12-13) glycidyl ether," and "2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether." Two-function types include "1,6 hexanediol glycidyl ether."
Features and application of Diluent of Epoxy Resin
Among all the epoxy resin diluent agents we offer, "butyl glycidyl ether" is the product that produces the highest dilution effect and it is used widely on the market. We offer two types: a general type and a distilled type that has a lower chlorine content.
"2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether" and "high-grade alcohol (C12-13) glycidyl ether are products that are not designated as having mutagenic properties and "2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether" has a lower chlorine content.
"1,6 hexanediols glycidyl ether" is a two-function diluent that, compared to the use of a single-function diluent, can be expected to constrain resin performance loss.
